Welcome to Equitable Minds. By using our services or purchasing our digital products, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging in any services or making a purchase.
1. Services Overview
Equitable Minds offers personalized college advising services for individuals and families, as well as group workshops (both online and in person). Additionally, digital products such as workbooks and educational downloads are available for purchase.
2. Advising Services
Scheduling & Payment: Payment for advising services, including one-on-one sessions and workshops, must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed. Payment details will be provided during the booking process.
Cancellations & Rescheduling: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before a scheduled session to qualify for a full refund or to reschedule without penalty. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session will not be eligible for a refund. Rescheduling within this time frame is subject to availability.
Parental Involvement: For clients under the age of 18, parental consent and participation are required for all advising services.
3. Digital Products
Purchasing Digital Workbooks & Downloads: Digital products such as workbooks and educational resources are available for purchase through our website. Upon successful payment, you will receive access to download the product.
Non-Refundable: Due to the nature of digital products, all purchases of digital workbooks and downloads are non-refundable. Please review product descriptions carefully before making a purchase.
Usage Rights: When purchasing digital products, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to use the product. Redistribution or resale of the digital product is strictly prohibited.
4. Refund Policy
Advising Services: Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled advising session or workshop. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations made within 48 hours of the session.
Workshops: For group workshops, cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund. If you cannot attend and the cancellation window has passed, you may request to transfer your registration to another available workshop if space allows.
Digital Products: All sales of digital products (e.g., workbooks, downloads) are final and non-refundable due to the immediate access to content after purchase.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, materials, and digital products provided by Equitable Minds, whether through advising services or digital downloads, are the intellectual property of Equitable Minds. You are not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without prior written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide the best possible guidance and support, we cannot guarantee college admissions decisions or outcomes. Final admissions decisions are made solely by the respective colleges and universities. Equitable Minds will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or products, including lost profits or data. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate our services at any time if you fail to comply with these Terms & Conditions, engage in inappropriate behavior, or do not fulfill your obligations in the advising process.
8. Confidentiality
All personal information and materials shared between you and Equitable Minds will be kept confidential, except as required by law or as necessary to provide our services. You agree not to disclose any confidential information received during the advising process.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services or products constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Washington, D.C.
